Delete Your Koedoe Account

This page applies to Koedoe (the Koedoe app / Koedoe AI Assistant). If you would like to request deletion of your Koedoe account and the personal data associated with it, follow the steps below.

How to request account deletion

Option A: In the Koedoe app (recommended)

  1. Open Koedoe
  2. Go to Profile / Settings
  3. Tap Delete Account
  4. Follow the prompts to confirm

Option B: Email request

Send an email to: hallo@koedoe.app

Subject: Delete my Koedoe account

Please include:

  • The email address linked to your Koedoe account
  • (Optional) Your full name or username (if shown in the app)
  • A short confirmation: "I request deletion of my account and associated data."

What data is deleted

When your deletion request is confirmed, we delete:

  • Your Koedoe account profile (linked to your login)
  • Your saved chat history and conversation content
  • Your stored preferences and app settings tied to your account
  • Any usage records tied directly to your account identifier (where feasible)

What data may be kept (and why)

We may keep limited data for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or financial recordkeeping reasons, such as:

  • Purchase history records handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store (these are managed by the stores)
  • Security logs (to help prevent abuse and protect the service)

We do not keep your chat content once deletion is completed, unless we are legally required to retain specific records.

Retention period

Account deletion requests are typically completed within 30 days of verification.

Any retained security or compliance logs are kept only as long as necessary, and typically no longer than 90 days, unless a longer retention period is required by law.

Verification

To protect you, we may need to verify that you own the account before deletion is processed.

Hierdie bladsy is van toepassing op Koedoe (die Koedoe-app / Koedoe KI-assistent). As jy jou Koedoe-rekening en die gepaardgaande persoonlike data wil laat skrap, volg die stappe hieronder.

Hoe om rekening-skrap te versoek

Opsie A: In die Koedoe-app (aanbeveel)

  1. Maak Koedoe oop
  2. Gaan na Profiel / Instellings
  3. Tik Skrap Rekening
  4. Volg die stappe om te bevestig

Opsie B: E-pos versoek

Stuur 'n e-pos na: hallo@koedoe.app

Onderwerp: Skrap my Koedoe-rekening

Sluit asseblief in:

  • Die e-posadres wat aan jou Koedoe-rekening gekoppel is
  • (Opsioneel) Jou volle naam of gebruikernaam (indien dit in die app wys)
  • 'n Kort bevestiging: "Ek versoek dat my rekening en gepaardgaande data geskrap word."

Watter data word geskrap

Sodra jou versoek bevestig is, skrap ons:

  • Jou Koedoe-rekeningprofiel (gekoppel aan jou aanmelding)
  • Jou gestoorde kletsgeskiedenis en gesprek-inhoud
  • Jou voorkeure en app-instellings wat aan jou rekening gekoppel is
  • Enige gebruiksrekords wat direk aan jou rekening-identifiseerder gekoppel is (waar moontlik)

Watter data kan behou word (en hoekom)

Ons kan beperkte data behou vir wetlike, sekuriteits-, bedrogvoorkoming- of finansiële rekorddoeleindes, soos:

  • Aankoopgeskiedenis wat deur die Apple App Store of Google Play Store hanteer word (hierdie word deur die winkels bestuur)
  • Sekuriteitslogboeke (om misbruik te voorkom en die diens te beskerm)

Ons behou nie jou kletsinhoud nadat skrap voltooi is nie, tensy ons wetlik verplig is om spesifieke rekords te behou.

Retensie-tydperk

Rekening-skrap versoeke word tipies binne 30 dae voltooi na verifikasie.

Enige sekuriteits- of nakomingslogboeke wat behou word, word slegs so lank as nodig gehou, en tipies nie langer as 90 dae nie, tensy die wet 'n langer tydperk vereis.

Verifikasie

Om jou te beskerm, mag ons moet bevestig dat jy die eienaar van die rekening is voordat skrap verwerk word.
